Cykl zdjęć pt. „Kolor jest dla mnie obsesją każdego dnia, radością i torturą”, inspirowały moje sny. Fotografie przedstawiają pejzaże z zaaranżowaną przeze mnie przestrzenią. Zestawiam ze sobą różne, nie do końca do siebie pasujące elementy, które choć wyrwane z kontekstu, w połączeniu tworzą nowy obraz świata. Robię to tak, by widz uwierzył w zastaną sytuację, ale odczuł jej odmienność. Prace zatytułowałam cytatem Claude Moneta, który opisał nim serie swoich prac, przedstawiających katedrę w Rouen. Odnosząc się do jego słów, chciałam podkreślić jak ważna w życiu jest obserwacja światła, która kształtuje kolor otaczający nasze życie. Zarówno sny, jak i zestawienie natury z elementami ze świata człowieka, odnoszą się do surrealizmu, który w dużej mierze zainspirował mnie do powstania tego cyklu.
‘Color is my daylong obsession, joy and torment’ photo series has been inspired by my dreams. The photos present landscapes with my idea of space arrangement. I juxtapose different, not obviously matching elements, which despite being taken out of context, when set them together it paint a new picture of the world. I do it so the viewer could believe what they find, but also feel its distinctness. I entitled the work with a quote by Claude Monet, who used it to describe the series of his paintings, depicting the cathedral in Rouen. By referring to his words, I wanted to highlight how important it is in life to observe the light which shapes the color surrounding our life. Both the dreams and the correlation of nature with the elements form the human world, refer to surrealism that was my main inspiration to create the series.
